For us, simplicity is about sustainability

We only use materials we know are good. Therefore, we have developed our own leather that is vegetable tanned and 100% chrome-free. It is made in full grain, which means that the surface is not mechanically treated and with a lot of chemicals. On the contrary, it is completely natural and beautiful, just like real leather should be. It also means that the surface is not "perfect", you can see shifts, healed scars and natural blemishes, which we think is the most beautiful and genuine. No two bags are the same, just like us humans.

We make it with our friends at Thanapara Swallows, a women's cooperative in the neighboring village. It is made from organic cotton, which is grown without chemicals and pesticides. From the cotton, the women spin and weave the textile, which then becomes the inner lining of all our bags. The result is a durable and beautiful lining that is made with knowledge and artisan traditions. We are very happy to work together, like children play best.

Have you ever had a broken zipper? We have grown up with an old saying; there are two things in life we know for sure. One is that we will all die at some point, the other is that zippers break. That's why we only use YKK's Excella zippers in all our products. Yes, they are quite expensive but they are the best you can buy.

The bag just needs to be put together, right? We do most of it by hand, it's best that way. Everything from cutting out all the parts, to treating the edges or smearing the bag with conditioner when it is ready. We don't run a factory, in our studio only people work with a lot of passion and desire to make really good bags. Every day.
